For anyone that has taught before you understand the importance of a lesson plan, however at this school they deem lesson plans to be the most important part of being a teacher.
She (the boss) likes to focus on lessons and expect do be doing between 12 - 18 page lesson plans for 5 hours of teaching.

This became ridiculous when I was there. I even went over the top with one to see what would happen; 1 hour lesson 14 = A4 pages, she accepted saying it was good quality. I copied it from the course book's recommended lesson plans!!

ReplyDeleteThe said boss, never once came to see any of the teachers in their (busy) classrooms to see the high quality of teaching going on. Instead she would summon us to her room and hand back long pieces of work we had done for her with scribbled illegible red pen all over it....
